In regards to your colors: I'm not sure if you really SHOULD colorize it so much. The logo itself IS metallic after all. I think a nice Santa hat, or perhaps some snow, would emphasize the Wintersdsay theme well enough considering it IS going on top of a tree already. The colorized versions you posted make me think of Transformers, but you should really get more opinions on that

Okay, so I'm pretty much decided on welding the rings to the back. As for the coloring, you think I should just clean the steel and have it wear a Santa hat and maybe some minor paint details? That's a neat idea. I'll see what everyone else thinks too. Thanks for the input.

The title of it is "it starts", as in what started the yearly battle between Grenth and Dwayna.

When you drew Grenth is was completely obvious who it was you drew just from the picture. This was because of his hood and face mask. If you want people to recognize Dwayna, you should probably do similar things with her armor. I just don't think it's a good idea to have the only thing identifying her as Dwayna be that it is implied in the title of the picture.

You might want to put a space between the colon and the D so it doesn't make a smiley and people get your name right. Also, your artwork looks awesome!

@Qing Right now with the person in the chair has her legs turned away from the other person. I don't know if that is intentional or not, just pointing it out in case it was not. Other than that it looks pretty nice. I like the picture in the background since I think that without it there would be too much empty space.

I kind of wanted Qing to be slouched in the chair a little, as if Gui has just distracted her from her book. Does it mess up the composition?

I kind of got that vibe, but in an unfriendly way. Maybe I'm just imagining things. Maybe you could move her legs but leave her torso in a position that makes it obvious she was just interrupted. I am in no way an art expert. Maybe just the facial expression will fix that.

Hmm... well Qing does rather dislike Gui, since Gui's a fanatic for Grenth and Qing is odd for a rit in serving Dwayna (hence the Dwayna pendant and the little shrine). Would those details, combined with the hostile posture and an expression of pleasant surprise, convey the gist of the idea (that is, that Qing is amazed Gui is getting in the spirit)? If it complicates things too much, I'll adjust Qing's pose and probably change the shrine either to a normal picture or to a wreath.

I think a wreath in the background and the right expression on her face would make it look really nice. My only thought then is relating it to Guild Wars. What you decide to do in the background all depends on how much you want to relate the picture to Guild Wars

Still sick, cold left me with a bit of a sinus infection. Plus been having to put in more hours at work. I want to work on my crafting but I am just so tired when I get home.

@ Qing. Not sure if this was suggested or not. What about having the Dwayna shrine/figure on the mantle? I know mine is covered with all sorts of ornaments right now. Wouldn't be overpowering to the picture but it still sneaks it in.

@darkpierrot. Very cute :-)
